YOUR CHANCE TO EDUCATE ABOUT ADHD
This is my new addition to the Weekly Roundup inspired today by the Opinion piece below. Take this opportunity to educate the public on the truth about ADHD. Leave a comment, email the author, write your own letter to the editor, etc., but use these opportunities to respond to educate the public for the betterment of our children's life experiences with ADHD.

We have too much to do.
It would be so nice to blame ADHD on food coloring. Then we wouldn’t have to take responsibility for all the rest of it: the hours of TV, the lack of outside leisure time, the overscheduling of activities, the insane pressure to keep up with Ugg boots and sports jerseys, the cellphones, the rushed meals, Facebook...

When writing letters to school personnel and administration about the special needs of our children and how we envision their school experience, we must take the tone of writing to/pleading our case to a complete stranger who doesn't know our family, our child, or the school. This is a great way to keep emotions out of it and to make a strong case for what you are after. This sample letter, and many other sample communications on wrightslaw.com will be an immense help.
