My little man is finishing up his third day of fevers. He apparently has a virus. Nothing much to report on the ADHD front except that the pediatrician thinks he should still take his Concerta even when sick and they approved Delsym for his cough because it doesn't have a decongestant that can be dangerous combined with stimulant medications. While that is good for me to know, you should, of course, seek the advice of your doctor or pharmacist before giving your child medications with their ADHD meds.
I did have a very nice phone conversation with the Assistant Director of the Board of Ed's Exceptional Children department. She called me to ask for my viewpoint on the situation and why I felt it warranted an appeal. She was very kind and very open to hearing me out. That was excellent. She said she is going to review all private evaluation reports and school evaluation reports and scores and call me tomorrow afternoon to discuss. Tomorrow afternoon...wow!
