VIDEO: Faces of ADHD for {ADHD Awareness Week}

Take a look at these Awesome Kids. They all just happen to have ADHD.

Can you tell?

Of course not.

They are beautiful, sweet faces that don't look any different than you and I. That's part of the reason why ADHD and our children are so misunderstood. They don't "look" like they have a disability.

Each and every kid with ADHD has many awesome things about them -- a kind heart, lots of compassion and empathy, a love of science, a connection with animals, a determined spirit, an infectious smile, an entertaining sense of humor, a zest for life, a special creativity, and so much more... I choose to see all that is positive in these children and to help others see it too. What do you see?

Thanks to our {awesome} contributor Pamela Hutchins and reader Amy, we have a moving display of awesomeness over on our Facebook page. For two days now moms {and dads} have been uploading pictures of their kids who have ADHD and telling us what makes them an awesome kid. It really is inspiring and uplifting -- there are pages and pages of them. I hope you'll check it out and add your own Awesome Kid to our wall.
